A Rare Queen Elizabeth II Hallmarked Sterling Silver Pierced Rectangular Fruit Dish by Frank Cobb & Co Ltd. The Fruit Dish has a length of 11 3/4" with a width of 9 7/8" with a height to the rim of 1 1/2 with a substantial weight of 24.8 oz or 704 grams. The Fruit Dish sits on an rectangular raised base with the centre of the dish also having a dished rectangular shape with the wide outer rim having stunning pierced scrolled foliate work with the outer rim cast as a fruiting vine with further hanging grapes and leaf round the full circumference. The Dish is free of any Initials or Monograms. Town Mark - Crown - Sheffield. Lion Passant - Sterling Mark. Date Letter - Z - 1967.
