Today we are delighted to offer for sale a beautiful vintage TOWLE Sterling Silver flatware set for 12 PLUS great serving pieces! From its beginnings on the banks of the Merrimack River in 1690, Towle Silversmiths has maintained an enduring tradition of fine craftsmanship in sterling silver and stainless steel flatware for over 300 years. This remarkable heritage is reflected in the outstanding character, magnificent detail, and incredible balance of every piece bearing the Towle name. Crafted by an elite group of artisans, each piece of Towle is exceptional in quality, with a beautiful balance of form and function. Towle offers both updated and traditional designs that are made for entertaining yet perfectly practical to use every day.

This very ornate and elegant set is in the Queen Elizabeth I pattern which was first produced by Towle in 1970 and is currently in production and retailed by fine stores such as Bergdorf Goodman. The handles feature a classical Renaissance/Baroque scroll and plume design that perfectly compliments any traditional table setting. The total weight of the set without the hollow handled knives w/stainless blades is 2583 grams - heavy!

The set is composed of the following pieces: 12 Knives, hollow handles, stainless blades, 8-7/8" 12 Dinner forks, 7-1/2" 12 Salad/dessert forks, 6-5/8" 12 teaspoons, 6" 2 soup spoons, 6-7/8" 1 Serving spoon, 8-5/8" (new in package) 1 Pierced serving spoon, 8-5/8" (new in package) 1 Cold meat serving fork, 9-1/8" 1 Master butter knife, 6-7/8" (new in package) 1 Cream/gravy ladle, 6" 1 sugar shell/spoon, 6" 1 jelly spoon, 5", in the Towle. Pattern (was with the set). The set presents well and is in very good vintage, lightly-used condition, with minor wear/scuffing, tarnish and patina commensurate with age. Set has been lightly cleaned but could use a thorough polishing. Please review all photos before purchasing.
